About Me

Born and raised in Texas, I was the prototypical ADHD “troublemaker” as a kid. Which, at the time, was a lot of fun! However, as I got older, those antics started to mellow out and my time consisted of school, scouts, sports, and video games… lots of video games.

In scouting I sold over $15,000 in popcorn for fundraising, went sailing across the ocean, backpacked up mountains, canoed in Canada, and met scouts from over 100 different countries. To top it all off, in 2019 I earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout after building a steel-frame bridge for the incredible Community First! Village, in Austin, TX.

Sports: Coming from a multi-generational UNC family, loving basketball was nothing short of a requirement. I played a lot through middle school, but eventually realized I wasn’t cut out for it at higher levels. This is when I re-kindled a deep love for Ultimate Frisbee, where I would eventually go on play for the club team at Purdue and casually still to this day.

Video Games: I’ll be honest. I was an addict. I couldn’t pull myself away. Minecraft, Counter Strike, Realm of the Mad God, and Rocket League have years of my life. On the bright side, I was self-aware enough of to turn that it into a legitimate creative endeavor where I grew a YouTube channel to over 5,000 subscribers & 1 million long-form views. Today, I see overcoming video game addiction as one of the most important things to ever happen on my journey of personal growth.

Finally, in my senior year of college, I developed a deep passion for mental health after life forced me to introspect and question everything I thought I knew about myself. Read more on My Why.
